Letter To The Kid
What a bundle of energy you have been lately. There are days where I can’t keep up. If this is any indication of how much energy you will have when you are older, I am in for a world of hurt.
You have been wanting to read a lot lately. Mom and I both love it! You will pick up a book and bring them over to us and want us to read it to you. Mommy even swore the other day you said, “I read the book.” You haven’t even said your first word yet and it sounds like you are talking in sentences already. She also swears that when she walked into the library the other day you said, “Book” and looked around amazed at all the books you saw. If your first word is book, I know mommy will be really happy and so will I.
Ever since your eye surgery in early November, it seems like your personality has changed. You seem to have more energy and are more happy. We kind of hope that clearing your tear duct will help clear up the ear infections. So far so good.
You have been wondering what this big green thing is in the living room with multi-colored lights and things hanging from it is. Well it is a Christmas tree! Next year you will understand but on Christmas we get to open more presents like you did on your birthday. There is this man named Santa who comes and brings everyone gifts. Excited yet? I know mom and dad are.
Kid, you have been so much fun lately and so cute. You know when you climb on top of the rocking horse and stand-up is wrong and when mom and dad catch you, you just look at us like, “What are you going to do about it?” Until you get hurt when you fall off of it, really we can’t do anything. When you do fall off of it though we will be right there to take care of you. That is because we love you!
