Letter To The Kid
I wish that I could be writing you under better circumstances, but in my 5 hour sleep haze, there maybe some things said in this letter that I might regret.
You’ve been spoiled, VERY spoiled. You’ve gotten use to us sleeping in the same room as you and no you wake up and think that mom and dad will come take care of you. You’ve become so accustom to wanting a bottle when you start crying at night that we need to break you of that habit.
I do apologize to turning off the baby monitor the other night. We could hear you crying across the room. We are trying to get you to sleep through the night again and this is one of the only ways that we know how. It worked before so why not again right? We know that things will get better it will just take time.
Anyway, mom and dad are so happy that you are walking. OK , well maybe not since you are getting into everything and we have to pick up after you and then within about 3 minutes everything is across the living room or kitchen floor. So I say this with a bit of hesitation, when will you start talking? We probably won’t be able to get you to shut up once you do, but you know what we are looking forward to hearing what you have to say. You are so close, it sounds like you are trying to talk to us and tell us things now but you can’t put them into words. The stories sound good, so I’m looking forward to what they are really all about.
You’re growing up so fast. Within the next couple of weeks you will be 1 year old. That just means 17 more years under our rule! You aren’t the only who is counting it down! HAHA! You know we love you!
