The First Summer Vacation (Pt. 2)

The first leg of our trip came off without a hitch!  We made it through the first 2 and a half hours without a problem.

It wasn’t until we stopped at a rest stop to go to the bathroom that the chipmunk woke up and he was fine for 3o minutes just looking around and then he got really fussy… but mommy came to the rescue when we pulled over and she fed him and he was fine.

Then we stopped for lunch and fed him… I’m sure we looked like your typical parents feeding a baby in a Wendy’s but again the chipmunk was great! We decided to stop at our one of our favorite wineries and get some wine and still he was awesome!

Chipmunk driving like daddy!

He was then awake for about 30 minutes driving with daddy (ok not behind the wheel but still he was helping me out). He fell asleep again during the last hour and half of our trip which was just great since this was part of the trip we were worried about!

We’ve made it to the hotel and set up camp and we will see how tonight goes… hopefully he will sleep through the night since tomorrow will be the long day.   Hopefully the pool tonight will wear him out!

I have already learned a few things when traveling on vacation with a little one.  Those lessons will be coming soon in a post!
