I’m just Joshin’ ya!

Over the last two weeks the Chipmunk has been nothing but great.  He has been the epitome of a great baby.  He has been smiling, laughing and listening to us as we read him books.  But not only that, he has been sleeping through the night! Which was something that my wife and I were really hoping would start soon.  Yeah he had alittle something to say about that.

The past weekend Grandma came up to visit and the Chipmunk was excited to see her.  All went well during the weekend but after words the Chipmunk wasn’t acting himself.  He wasn’t smiling, being cranky, and having just overall fussiness.  He was fine Monday with the sitter.  Then Tuesday mom had a snow day and that’s when all of this went down.   We weren’t sure whether or not he was teething since he has been drooling more then normal.  So we gave him some Tylenol (children’s of course) and that seemed to make it better.  So part of us wants to think that he has started the teething process.   But then the sleeping through the night stopped.  He is starting to wake up again at 2am and then again at 5am.  I can handle the 5am wake up, but the 2am, I just want to yell “Come On Man!” to him.   We were all ready to finally let him sleep in his room once Grandma left and after the Blizzard of 2011 (according to news organizations this is THE blizzard of 2011 and its only February, funny how that works).  Well that didnt’ happen.

Hopefully, the Chipmunk is only playing a cruel joke on us for a week and will go back to sleeping through the night.  A parent can have hopes right?
